ACP Presents: Your Military Skills Matter @bp

On August 24th, ACP was joined by bp for a LinkedIn Live. bp p.l.c. stands tall as a global powerhouse, a British multinational oil and gas juggernaut, with its headquarters nestled in the vibrant city of London, England. Proudly ranked among the distinguished oil and gas "supermajors," this titan commands a position as one of the world's largest corporations in terms of revenues and profits. However, bp's purpose transcends mere economic triumph; it embarks on a transformative mission to reimagine energy for the betterment of humanity and our precious planet.

The panel featured three guest speakers from bp: Rugina Poellnitz, Global Business Integrity Case Manager/Case Advisor and U.S. Air Force Veteran; Chris Barnes, Professional Hiring Advisor - Trading & Shipping; and Matthew McElhaney, U.S. Army Veteran and former ACP Protege and Head of Data Science & Digital Solutions for bpx, bp’s U.S. Onshore division. They also provided insights on transferable skills, the importance of business resources groups (BRGs), hiring overviews, and graduate programs that can help the military community break into the bp space. The event concluded with a live Q&A session with the virtual audience.
