ACP Presents: Women in Tech at Amazon Web Services
On April 4th, ACP was joined by AWS for an inside look at the company’s culture and hiring strategies. Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud, offering over 200 fully featured services from data centers globally. Amazon has a proud legacy of supporting our nation's military community, touting accolades such as the 4-Star Employer, VETS Indexes Employer Award (2021). AWS also partners with Hiring our Heroes and Skillbridge, giving veterans an opportunity to effectively explore their career paths within their transition timeline.
Our panelists were US Army Veteran, Chelsea Rosenau, Global Program Manager; US Air Force Veteran, Alison Anders, a Program Manager who joined Amazon through the DoD Skillbridge programs; Military Spouse, Kerri-Anne Gonzalez, Military Talent Acquisition Manager, Beth Conlin, Sr. Manager Strategy & Business Development; Sonya Legaspi, MBA, Recruiting Manager; and Ret. US Army National Guard, Robin Baker, who serves as the Military Talent Senior Program Manager at Amazon Web Services. They discussed career paths, personal journeys, explored insights and opportunities for different careers within the company. They also provided resources on military pathways for a successful transition, as well as, military spouse career advancements. The event was followed by a Q&A.
