ACP Presents: Overcoming Challenges on the Journey to Meaningful Employment
On September 28th, ACP discussed how the job search can bring stress and anxiety. According to a 2016 study, nearly 1.1 million of a total of 19 million veterans were dealing with mental health challenges. In another study, it was shown that unemployed veterans were more likely to have mental health issues than those who had jobs. ACP hosted an inspiring webinar as the team shone a light on the journeys of three ACP proteges who went through the transition process. In this event, they explored the challenges they have gone through and how mentorship has played a role in overcoming them. They also dedicated the panel to helping military spouses get their foot in the door and achieve career growth. The event concluded with a live Q&A session with the virtual audience.
