ACP Presents: Military Spouse Mentor Orientation
ACP held its first ever mentor orientation call for the ACP Military Spouse Mentoring Program on Thursday, December 3rd. The call enabled all Military Spouse Mentors to convene, share mentoring successes, and discuss their questions.
The call featured an introduction from Colleen Deere, ACP’s Executive Director. Colleen provided an overview of ACP’s history and the development of the Active Duty Military Spouse Program. Colleen and the ACP staff also discussed best practices for mentorships later in the call.
Following Colleen’s remarks, ACP Mentor Linnea Gavrilis from EY shared her volunteer experiences with ACP. Linnea is a military spouse and detailed her tips that she learned from her past two years of mentoring military spouses with ACP.
The call concluded with a question & answer session. Mentors asked questions regarding resume resources, how to help military spouses looking for long term employment and remote work, and more.
