ACP and BlackRock Host Veteran Career Transition Seminar

On Wednesday, April 3, the BlackRock VET Network hosted a career development event in BlackRock's New York City and San Francisco offices, linked by livestream. The evening began with opening regards from BlackRock’s Chief Financial Officer, Gary Shedlin. Members of BlackRock's veteran employee resource group engaged in a panel discussion, in which they reflected upon their own career transitions and offered words of advice and best practices to the service members in attendance. Following the discussion, a hiring manager from BlackRock gave a brief presentation on resume writing and interview preparation.

During the second half of the evening, attendees put their resume writing tips to work in a one-on-one resume review breakout session with BlackRock professionals. The event closed with an informal networking reception with fellow veterans and BlackRock employees.
